How does PDF cropping work?

PDF cropping adjusts the visible area of each page by setting a crop box. Content outside the crop box is hidden (not deleted). Some PDF readers may still be able to access the hidden content.

Can I crop different pages differently?

The current tool applies the same crop margins to all selected pages. For different crops per page, process the PDF multiple times with different page ranges.

Is the cropped content permanently removed?

PDF cropping hides content by adjusting the crop box, but the original content may still exist in the file. If you need to permanently remove content for security, use a dedicated redaction tool.

Can I undo the crop?

Since we modify the crop box without removing the underlying content, many PDF editors can reset the crop box to restore the original page view. However, it's always good practice to keep your original file.
